IMPHAL, May 31: An eleven year boy Nongthombam Henachandra s/o N(o)Mera leima of Kontha Khabam Maning Leikai Imphal East had saved a 3 yrs old identified as Shreemayum Niki Sharma s/o Sh. Goubradhon sharma of the same locality from drowning.
This noon at around 1 pm the kid fell inside a pond and since it was noon time, there was no one around and the child`™s mother had gone out to buy something from the local shop.
Luckily, eleven year old, Henachandra while returning from his school at around 12;15 pm was crossing the child`™s courtyard and saw the child drowning in the pond.
Nenachandra jumped into the pond and managed to pull Niki out of the pond.
