IMPHAL, May 18: A four years old boy was found dead hanged under suspicious condition at the compound of the Ibudhou Thangarel Haraobung under Bishnupur police station this afternoon around 2 pm.
The dead minor has been identified as Thiyam Robiroy alias Ton, 4 s/o Th Rocky of Ningthoukhong Kha Khunou Ward No.4.
According to a family member, the family realized that the boy was missing this noon and carried out a search around the locality.
The family member further stated that the boy was found hanging inside a room (Maibi Shang) at the Ibudhou Thangarel Haraobung compound.
The local people spotted his dead body with both his legs and hands tied inside the room. They also ruled out the possibility of the cause of the death to chain snatching as the gold jewelries that the boy was wearing on him were not missing but said that he might have been put to his dead before being hanged as there was strangulation mark on his neck and his legs and hands were tied by a rope.
In the meantime, his dead body was removed from the spot by the Bishnupur police this late afternoon following the complaint from the localities and a FIR case has been registered, and his dead body has been brought to the RIMS morgue for the post mortem.
