IMPHAL, May 18: The state police department has initiated extensive preventive measures for the security of non locals residing particularly in the valley districts of the state following the recent announcement of the underground KCP(MC) announcing its `Operation Clear Cut`™ which is meant to drive away the migrants from the state.
In this regard, Sr.SP, Imphal West police L Kailun has already intimated all concerned OCs briefing them on the need of being extra alert and vigilant round the clock to ensure an incident free law and order situation in and around the Imphal City.
In the face of the threat from the KCP against the migrant labourers in the state, the SrSP has intimated the concerned OCs of Imphal, Lamphel, City, Singjamei, Sekmai, Patsoi, Lamshang, Wangoi, Mayang Imphal, OCs concerned of Reserve Line, CDO units, OC Kwakeithel, Chinmeirong OP, Heirangoithong, Keithelmanbi and all OCs of mobile units of the Imphal West police.
The official crash message of the Sr. SP Imphal West police to all concerns PSs and out posts also clearly explained that, the underground KCP (MC) has started its second series of its `Operation Clear Out`™ to drive out migrants from the state of Manipur very recently and its has become a must for every concerned SPs of every districts of the state to take up much more efforts and more effective security precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the non locals in the state.
The official message further drew the attention of the senior police officers to be alert, vigilant and active enough within their respective jurisdiction during holidays and thereby maintain law and order effectively.
On the other hand in complying to the official message of the Sr. SP Imphal an intense security preventive measure have been taken up in and around the seven Assembly segments of Imphal Municipal council by deploying adequate numbers of state security forces including personnel of concerned PSs and Out posts and attested VDF forces at various vulnerable points and monitored movements of non locals throughout the day since a few days back.
Besides special preventive measures taken up around the city also includes deployment of mobile team of concerned CDO teams in every assembly segments under Imphal Municipal council round the clock since the last few days.
The same preventive security measures have been taken up at various places of the state including valley districts like Thoubal, Bishnupur following the official intimations from the Sr. SP Imphal West recently to prevent any untoward incident against any non local residence, the official source added.
