Delhi to witness college admission race from June 15

NEW DELHI, June 13 (MIC): Every year, a large number of students from Manipur come to Delhi for admission into different undergraduate courses under Delhi University. Civil service aspirants study in the capital city as they get various kinds of facilities in the city for grooming themselves in the environment. 

As admissions in Delhi University begin on June 15, it is important that students go well-prepared with all the requisite documents in hand. As far as the basics are concerned, the students need to carry originals of their Class X and XII mark sheets and pass-certificates along with their migration and transfer certificates. Two sets of photocopies of the certificates attested by a gazetted officer are also required. It is always wiser to carry more than 10 passport size photographs which will be required for different purposes. Fees will be as per the course requirement.

There will be two slots for admission – 10 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 7 pm on all working days. Students will be given four days to complete the entire admission procedure after each cut-off list is out. First cut-off list will be announced on June 15, and admission days are June 16, 17, 18 and 20. Second cut-off list will be on June 21, and admission days are on June 22, 23, 24 and 25. Third cut-off list will be on June 27, and admission days are on June 28, 29, 30 and July 1. Fourth cut-off list will be on July 2, and admission days are on July 4, 5, 6 and 7. Fifth cut-off list will be on July 8, and admission days are on July 9. 11, 12 and 13.

Cut-off list information will be available from either the Delhi University website: www.du.ac.in or from all leading national newspapers.

This time, there is no pre-admission form. After each cut-off released by the University, students may proceed to the college that he or she is qualifying and fill up the form available from the college and pay the fees during those four days.

All colleges under Delhi University will have the facility of a help desk throughout the admission period. Representatives of the help desk will clear any admission-related doubts that the students are likely to have. Students must approach to the help desk for any doubt.

Students who are looking for a hostel accommodation need to first get the admission. After admission process is complete, they can apply for a hostel seat.
