DoNER official to assess work progress of schemes under ministry in state


IMPHAL, June 5: Joint secretary of the Development of North Eastern Region, DoNER, PK Patnaik will be arriving at the state capital tomorrow to assess the work progress of different schemes and projects implemented in the state through the ministry of DoNER with funding from Non Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR) in the state.According to a highly placed official source, the visiting officer will initiate his official inspection by visiting the construction site of the National Sports Academy located at Khumanlampak Sports Complex tomorrow noon soon after his arrival in the state.The visiting officer will continue his series of inspection of the ongoing construction of Lamlong Bridge, Kairang Bridge, Mapao Bridge, Khurai Salanthong Bridge, Kharam Barrage on Sawombung Sagolmang road which are taken up through DoNER under NLCPR funds.The official will be accompanied by the officials of the concerned line departments of the state government during his inspection tour tomorrow.Meanwhile the official inspection will continue on June 7 with an official inspection tour at the sites of Kiyamgei Mang Mapa Bridge, Keishamthong Bridge, Babu Bazar Bridge at Thoubal district head quarter under the tight security arrangement made by the state government.The source further mentioned that, the visiting central officer will attend a meeting at the official chamber of the state chief secretary at Old Secretariat to discuss various issues related to the development projects and schemes undertaken in the state under Ministry of DoNER, later at around 11 am of the same day, which will be followed by another meeting convened by the DoNER official at the Conference hall of the state Old Secretariat to review the progress reports of various developmental projects and schemes undertaken in the state through Ministry of DoNER with NLCPR funding.
