Kuki students decry ADC office bomb attack

IMPHAL, June 1: The Kuki Students`™ Orgnaisation, Chandel district has condemned the recent bomb attacked on the temporary office of ADC located at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex which resulted in the injuries of three persons of a family.

The Kuki Students`™ Orgnaisation, Chandel district terming the incident as an unfortunate has expressed their concerned over the failure of the responsible organization to clarify on the reason behind the explosion till date even though the incident had occurred five days back.

Terming the violent act as a terrorist act, a press release of the KSO Chandel district has mentioned that, the failure of the concerned to claim responsibility of the explosion shows their cowardice nature.

It is also mentioned that, the organization has minutely analysed the matter very carefully and it is assumed by the organization that the recent bomb blast at the temporary ADC office at Khuman Lampak Sport Complex was not a handy work of one or two person but a well established group of organization and the organization had a big apprehension that the recent bomb attacked is purely life attempt on the ADC Chairman and his staffs.

The release has further appeal to the persons or party responsible not to repeat such violent act in the future especially at public places and offices as this kind of terrorists actions will never bring any goods to the society, instead, it will create communal disharmony and enmity among the different tribes living together peacefully in the state. And again, disrupting normal functioning of ADC which is reviving after two decades will hamper all development activities in the entire district which will be a huge setback for the common people.

Lastly, the release of the organization requested the concern authorities to book and punish the involved culprit/s at the earliest as per the law of the land and also looked after the well being of the three innocent victims, one struggling for life, the release added.

Meanwhile in a separate press release, the Imphal unit of the Kuki Students`™ Organisation has also sent in their condemnation for the Khuman Lampak bomb blast.

The students`™ body in a statement lamented that the injured mother Boinu, 48 and her daughter Lucy, 18 and Neikim 10 are currently battling for survival at JNIMS Imphal without any assistance from the state government or any other NGOs.

Claiming that the blast took place due to the negligence of the state government it has appealed the government to give financial assistance for the unfortunate and poor family.

It warned that the students`™ body would be compelled to take up democratic forms of agitation if the government remained unconcerned to the victims and asserted that any untoward incident arising out of it will be Governments`™ sole responsibility.
