Naga organisations apprise Prime Minister on alternative arrangement

IMPHAL, June 18( Newmai News Network): The Naga People`s Organisation (NPO) Senapati, Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL), Chandel Naga People`s Organisation (CNPO) and Zeliangrong Baudi, Manipur (ZBM) have apprised the Prime Minister of India regarding the `alternative arrangement`.

Submitting a memorandum each by NPO, CNPO, TNL and ZBM today separately to the Prime Minister, these organisations said, “We have great hope in your government under your leadership to bring about an alternative arrangement for the Nagas in Manipur.” These organisations also stated that public meetings reiterated “our demand and request your good office to translate it into reality  with sincerity and political will thereby usher peace and stability.”

The CNPO, ZBM, TNL and NPO then expressed their heart-felt gratitude to the Prime Minister for taking keen interest in the Indo Naga peace talk and at the same time for initiating the tripartite talk of the New Delhi, United Naga Council and the government of India “pertaining to UNC`s demand  for an alternative arrangement outside the government of Manipur since the Naga people have severed all political ties with the government of Manipur as per the declaration of the Naga People`s Convention (NPC) on July 1, 2010.”
