Track from Barak to Longdi Pabram constructed

IMPHAL June 18:  A track from Barak to Longdi Pabram village was constructed by Security Forces bringing hope and aspirations to the village. The two kilometer long track was constructed by widening the existing foot track so that vehicles and other development work can reach the village. The construction work started on 21 April 2011. Months of dedicated effort by 21 men of 11 Assam Rifles and a dozer that was provided by Red Shield Division made this dream project of Longdi Pabram villagers a reality.  The chairman of the village on behalf of entire village, expressed his deep gratitude and thankfulness to the security forces who worked day and night, in rain and scorching sun for the public cause.

The newly constructed track will not only save time and effort required to reach the village but will also speed up the development works.  It may be noted that villages of this region of Tamenglong district are famous for cultivation of oranges and connecting these village with main roads will certainly boost the orange trade in the region.  The security forces deployed in Zeliangrong inhabited area of Tamenglong district have been carrying out various MCA projects to bring succor to the people of Tamenglong and have pledged to continue its effort towards progressive and prosperous Tamenglong, a pres release said.
