IMPHAL, July 16: Charangpat high school defeated VM high school, Chandel in today’s first match of the U-15 state inter school JN Hockey tournament being held at Hockey Stadium, Khuman Lampak.
The Charangpat school won the match 13-0.
H Mani scored eight goals for the Charangpat school while H Romi scored one goal. H Romeshkumar scored four goal for Charangpat team.
In a match of the girls section played today at the same venue, Jai Hind high school, Imphal East defeated Bishnupur high school by 11-1 goals.
L Pushparani scored a total of six goals for the Imphal East school while Kh Jyotibasu, S Loibi, S Sunibala and A Geetarani scored one goal each for the Imphal East school.
The lone goal for the Bishnupur school was scored by Ng Aliba in the 43rd minute.
