CM to attend discussion on Lokpal bill draft at Delhi

IMPHAL, July 5: Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh has left Guwahati this afternoon for the national capital to attend a series of meetings with the PMO and a chief ministers’ level discussion on the Lok Pal draft bill.

According to an official source the state Chief Minister had attended two days of regional level consultation meeting on the approach paper to the 12th Five years plan which started yesterday at Guwahati.

Meanwhile, his official tour to Delhi started this afternoon from Guwahati to attend a meeting at the Prime Minister’s office to review the progress of projects and schemes implemented in the state under the Prime Minister package including, Capitol Project, High Complex at Chingmeirong, City Convention Centre and cultural complex at Palace Compound, Khuga Multi purpose project and Mapital Dam etc.

The official source also mentioned that, he will attend the chief minister’s level meeting at New Delhi to discuss the draft Lok Pal bill.

It may be mentioned that, a state cabinet in its recently held meeting had approved amendment to some of the sections of the draft Lok Pal bill as prescribed by the union finance minister to the state government.

Meanwhile, the state Chief Minister will table the decision of the recent state cabinet decision amending some sections of the bill during the proposed Chief Minister level meeting on Lok Pal bill at Delhi, the official source added.
