Committee meeting to discuss irregularities in state departments

IMPHAL, July 5: A state high power committee meeting under the Manipur Public Servants’ Personal Liability Rules, 2006 will be convened on July 12 afternoon at 3 pm at the office chamber of the state chief secretary DS Poonia to consider various cases of alleged irregular actions of the public servants of different departments.

According to a reliable source an official order has been issued by the under secretary (PIC-II) government of Manipur informing that the proposed high power committee meeting will consider alleged engagement of the grade-IV employees on contract basis in the higher education department against rules and regulations for which the commissioner and director of the department have been advised to attend the meeting.

Further according to the source, the meeting will also consider several cases regarding appointment of officials in the TB Society for which the commissioner (health), director (M&HS) and Th Ibohal Singh, govt. advocate have also been advise to attend the meeting.

The meeting will also consider several alleged irregularities in the release of Chequedrawal Authority for which the principal secy. (power) chief engineer (power), addl. secy. (DP) have been advised to attend the meeting.

Another agenda of the meeting will be to discuss and consider the excess appointment of 835 Primary Teachers in the Autonomous District Councils and irregular appointment of 28 LDCs in Revenue department for which commissioner hills, all chief executive officers, of ADCs and commissioner Revenue and director settlement have been instructed to attend the said state high power committee meeting, the official source added.
