CS called in to assist CM in PMO meeting at Delhi

IMPHAL, July 7: Chief secretary DS Poonia has left the state capital this afternoon to assist Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh who is stationed at the national capital since some days back to attend an official meting at the Prime Minister’s office tomorrow to review various projects and schemes undertaken in the state under the PM Package.

According to an official source, the state chief secretary has left an official order, notifying that the senior most principal secretary available in the state during his absence will dispose any urgent administrative matters that cannot wait for his arrival.

The official intimation of the chief secretary further mentioned that, the case that require his approval/order as the competent financial authority and/or as the State Vigillance Commissioner, shall however, await his return from the tour.

The official order has also mentioned for all cases pertaining to cadre clearance for IAS officers of Manipur part of MT cadres and release of IAS officers on central/inter state deputation should wait for his return from the national capital and that any officers who wish to proceed on any official tours outside the state should consult him over the telephone before the submission of their tour programmes to the chief in charge, added the source.

The official intimation also further mentioned that Hrisheekesh Modak, Staff Officer shall maintain a record of important papers, files, court cases, etc. processed during his absence and submit a list to him on his return.

According to a reliable source, the official tour pogramme of the chief secretary was a sudden actions as he was summoned by the Chief Minister this afternoon to assist him during his meeting at various levels in the national capital starting from tomorrow at the PMO.

The state Chief Minister will further attend a meeting of all state Chief Ministers on the issue of the Jan Lokpal Bill, as has been already reported.

The source also mentioned that Chief Minister will attend the review meeting with the officials of PMO at New Delhi to review progresses of various projects and schemes implemented in the state under the PM package including Capitol Projects at Chingmeirong, Cultural Complex, City Convention centre, Thoubal Multi Purpose project, Imphal Jiri Rail line etc.
