CHANDEL, July 27: A release of the Displaced Persons Committee, Moreh Aea, Chadel ditrict signed by its chariman has stated that the displaced persons of Khengjoi Block comprising of 30 households have left our homestead since 2004 and have been settling in Moreh since then.

Further it added that following their repeated appeal to the government for relief under special package programme, However, they were being at last issued G.I.sheet for six house hold only, through the Block Development Officer, Khengjoi Block out of 30 households.

Inspite of the fact that the ADC, Moreh had made necessary verification of the displaced persons and forewarded the same to the DC and said that, the Principal Secretary too had forwarded recomendation to thirty households, it is very much unlikely that the relief materials would be issued for six households only whereas the twentyfour households are left out, stated the release. Now the committee is at its wits end as to how to distribute the G.I. sheet which is meant for six households to thirty households. We are sure that something fishy is going on somewhere, the release added.

Therefore, it is partinent for the BDO, Khengjoi Block to explain clearly or issue the relief households for thirty households without any left out within August 7, failing which, we shall compel to resort to any form of agitation, the release ended.
