IMPHAL, July 5: All Manipur District Council Teachers’ Association has decried the failure of the state government to release the long pending 14% DA increment arrear for the period January 1, 2000 to June 30, 2005.
A release of the association stated that an emergency executive body meeting of the association held on July 1 at Hotel Tampha lamented the indifferent attitude of the government towards the demands of the teachers for the release of 14 % DA arrear in spite of the fact that a number of memorandums have been submitted to the government.
The association further lamented the government order No. 30/19/09-SE(s) dated 14th June 2011, which ordered change of the nomenclature of School Management and Development Committee (SMDC) to School Management Committee (SMC) under SSA and change of composition of the School Management Committee of Schools in Hill Districts. It is the third time in a short span of time that Government of Manipur issued order after new orders for reconstitution of SMDC members. It affects school administration and gives unnecessary extra works and expenses to the School Management and Development Committee particularly the concerned headmaster/headmistress, it mentioned.
