MSAD held discussion programme for July 2004 Kangla protest
Manipur Students’ Association Delhi (MSAD) organized a discussion programme in relation to Kangla nude protest. It was conducted at Delhi University at 4:00 pm (15 July 2011). The programme was co-ordinated by Damudor Arambam (Returning Officer, Election Committee MSAD) and the key spokespersons were Malem Ningthouja (Chairperson, Election Committee MSAD), Praem Hidam (Advisor MSAD), Khuman Leima (President, IMMA), and Seram Rojesh (Former President, MSAD). Ashok Laishram (Cultural Secretary, MSAD) presented welcome address. The Spokesperson spoke on the suppression faced which is vivid by the civil society in Manipur and urged to repeal the Draconian law called AFSPA immediately. This is the most fundamental democratic demand that remained under suppression ever since the Indian state has established control over Manipur in October1949. Explicating on the theme the discussion further reiterated in the easy tackling way the Indian government despite all our hues and cry of the people of Manipur. AFSPA that allows the Indian armed personnel to kill people with impunity and that violate the right of human is condemn.
