Public awareness on cattle rearing kicks off

MOREH, July 24: A five-day public awareness programme on animal originated disease, artificial insemination on cattles, farmers training programme was inaugurated by RK Surendro Singh-Former President ACODOM attended as Chief guest at veterinary office at Moreh border towen yesterday.

The awareness programme was organised by the state veterinary and Animal husbanday department with an objective to to increase more productivities of cattles for the economic sustainabilities of the farmers in the region.

The formal inaugural function of the awareness programme at Moreh was presided over by Jangmang Haokip-President Hill Tribal Council and Jubeda Begum-President Muslim Women Devt. Assn. attended as guest of Honour .In the meantime, the resource persons from the state veterinary and animal husbadary department including Dr. K. Gopal Singh- Specialist Disease, tabled his paper on Mad Cow disease(BSE) and Zoonotic disease and followed by the explanination from H. Shantikumar Singh-Project officer ICDP porompat  on the topic of launching of  OG. AI to cattle, dog, pig”.
