IMPHAL, August 22: The All Manipur Christian Organization (AMCO) has extended an appeal to all Christian churches of the state to conduct a day of prayer and fasting on August 28 for peace and tranquility in the light of the present blockade and counter blockade imposed along the National highways in the state in connection with the creation of full fledged district, that has brought untold miseries and hardship to the people.
It further appeals to all people of goodwill to work towards peaceful co-existence and not to entertain any statement that might provoke mistrust amongst the common mass.
The AMCO is making all concrete effort to bring to dialogue with the various community leaders to end the blockade and counter blockade, it said.
