IMPHAL, Aug 19: All Manipur Road Transport Drivers’ and Motor Workers’ Union has sought clarification on utilization of Rs 50,000 donated by the Chief Minister for treatment of injured drivers.
A release of the union stated that some associations have taken the donation from the Chief Minister in the name of some drivers injured during the economic blockade. However, the injured driver Naorem Bishochandra has not received even a single paise from the Chief Minister’s donation. The associations which had taken the donation should make clarifications on the matter.
The union has also expressed gratitude to all who had rendered valuable services to the treatment of driver Rahman who died at Shija Hospital.
