AR organises educational cum sightseeing tour

    IMPHAL, Aug 20: 37 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR (S) in its endeavor to bring the people of this region closer to the mainstream   an education cum sightseeing trip to Imphal was organized today during which104 students and 17 teachers from Govt High School and Divine Spark School, Chakpikarong were brought to Imphal.

    According to a release of PRO IGAR (S) this trip included orientation and guidance of children to heritage temple, lake, tunnel and museum at Kangla Fort, visit to state museum and Khuman Lampak stadium. School children were provided with a guide at all the places, who briefed them about rich heritage and historical background of all the places. At the end of the trip children had an interactive session with renowned sportspersons at Khuman Lampak stadium. It was a great exposure for school children as majority of them visited these places for the first time. During the visit children were also provided with refreshments and lunch.

    The principal and all the teachers and students of the school have thanked the unit to have provided them with a unique opportunity to expand their horizon and also for providing the necessary administrative support to make this visit a grand success the release added
