IMPHAL, August 6: The All Tribal Disables’ Union Manipur (ATDUM) draws the attention of the Chief Minister of Manipur for special concession/relaxation in eligibility criteria and pass-mark for the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) for physically handicapped persons. Terming the 45 percent eligibility criteria and 50 percent pass mark as at par with the ST/SC categories which is equal to no relaxation for the physically handicapped, a statement issued by the president has maintained it as mandatory to reduce the eligibility to 40 percent and pass mark to 45 percent for the handicapped persons.
It has also appeal the Chief Minister for extension of last date of form submission and for arrangement of separate exam for disabled candidates for the convenient and smooth conduct of the exam.
