IMPHAL, August 19: The Democratic Students’ Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has boycotted the zonal education officer of Wangoi for failing to work in the interest of the students.
Addressing media persons during an inspection visit at Wangoi ZEO office, assistant secretary of DESAM, K Thoithoi stated that ZEO N Biramangol is an unscrupulous officer who has tarnished the education department of the state. The DESAM would continue to lock up the office until the authorities concerned remove him from the post and entrust the charge to an honest and efficient officer.
The officers and other staffs of ZEO have failed to discharge their duties sincerely. The office has been turned upside down by these officials, he stated.
