IMPHAL, Aug 9: The Joint Administrative Council (JAC) of All Manipur Trade Unions Council (AMTUC) and All Manipur Govt. Employees Organization (AMGEO) will launch indefinite cease-work strike from tomorrow demanding the state government to implement the revised 6th central pay with necessary allowances and arrears.
A release of the JAC stated that the state government employees have demanded the authorities concerned many times but their demands are not met till today. They would no longer believe the false assurances of the state government. They would also launch relay hunger strike if their demands are fulfilled by the state government.
The JAC also appealed to the employees that they should attend their offices timely but should abstain from their work even if the higher authority forces them to do. All employees should stand united to achieve their rightful demands, it added.
