IMPHAL, August 22: The Kuki Students’ Organistion, (KSO) Chandel while stating that teachers/headmasters in most of the schools within the jurisdiction under ADC have been irregular in attending their duties, draws the attention of the authority concerned to intervene into the mater by August 31 failing which it warned to resort to serious form of agitations by September 5.
A statement issued by the student’s body, in pursuance of its Education Reformation Policy, the Kuki Students’ Organistion Chandel district has inspected most of the schools within its jurisdiction under ADC Chandel, where they found that most of the headmaster/headmistress and assistant teachers had not attended their duties which are purely against the norms of the land, “Right to Compulsory Education of Childern”.
It is also interesting to learn the teachers are maintaining fake and bogous attendance to able to draw their salaries, it said. As such, the KSO Chandel in the interest of the general public and the students’ community in particular, appeal to the authority concerned to look into the matter as urgent and serious case and take appropriate necessary action at the earliest. In case, if no action is taken latest by August 31, it warned to resort to a serious of agitations such as, sit in protest, text book surrender closure of all ADC schools within its jurisdiction etc from September.
It is also urged to all concerned not to accept or received any fake and bogus teachers’ attendance resister as well as inspection report as it may invite more troubles.
