He further asserted that the Integrity Day is being observed to mark the strong determination of the people of Manipur to protect the territorial integrity of the state at any cost. The Indian government is still making a ploy to disintegrate the unity of the state with NSCN (IM) as a tool.
Condemning the ghastly acts of NSCN (IM), AMUCO president maintained that the central government has remained as a silent spectator even though it is aware of all the happenings. The people of Manipur would never allow any agency to execute any divisive policy in the state, he enjoined.
Rahman strongly decried the Sangakpham blast which rendered five persons dead and eight others injured, murder of a Tangkhul couple in Ukhrul, ambush on MLA Wungnaoshang Keishing, murder of SDO Kishan and his subordinate staffs and many other such gruesome crimes which have spread a reign of terror in the peaceful atmosphere of the state.
AMUCO also opposed the demand for “alternative arrangement” made by the United Naga Council (UNC). The people would stand united to safeguard the territorial integrity and any threat to peace and harmony of the state, he asserted.
KT Rahman further appealed to the people to have sense of oneness and brotherhood among different communities and make the state peaceful and progressive.
