IMPHAL, August 7: Members of the Kuki Christian Church, (KCC) Trulock Theological Seminary and Christian Hospital Imphal, Dewlahland today staged a sit in protest demonstration at the KCC mission campus, in connection with the killing of Lutkholal Misao s/o retired pastor Lalkhokhup Misao by two unidentified assailants inside the KCC mission campus yesterday around 7:30 pm.
Talking to media persons during a sit in protest held at the KCC campus, Dr. Chongloi stated that any form of violence and killing especially in a religious place as such was absolutely shameful and added that the incident was perpetrated only by men with no religious value and no fear of the Almighty.
He further asserted that the incident should be condemned strongly by all civilized citizens. The culprits should repent for their sins and make an apology for the wrong they have committed at a religious campus, he said and further urged that in all means the same mistake should no be repeated again in the religious campus.
Dr. Chongloi recalled that the victim was shot death by two unknown assailant at a close range at around 7:30 pm in front of the boys hostel of Trulock Thelogical Seminary and near Christian Hospital Imphal.
