The agitating women have been identified as one, Chonghat Misao (52), Kimnei Chongloi (48), Neikhoneng Haokip (58), Lamkim Chongloi (60), Lamneiting Dimngel (38), Neikho Dimngel (65) and Phalneiting Sitlhou (57).
According to reports, the fasting women were hospitalized around 6:30 pm by a team comprising of MO Kangpokpi CHC, along with OC in charge Kangpokpi police station, after being conducted by a medical team of the CHC.
According to the medical report of the MO the 7 hospitalized strikers are suffering from Acute Gastritis, Hypertension, Viral Fever and BP.
The Additional Deputy Commission, Kangpokpi, H. Rupachandra, also later visited the hospitalized women at the CHC.
It may be recalled here that as a part of the series of agitation launched by Sadar hills dsitricthood demand committee (SHDDC) demanding full fledged district of Sadar hills, altogether 11 women folk launched a fast unto death agitation from August 16 morning. Later more individuals volunteer to joint the fast unto death.
