South east Delhi police to meet NE students

NEW DELHI, August 11 (MIC): Additional commissioner of police, South-East district, New Delhi is holding a meeting with students of North-Eastern states with a view to instill a sense of security and to generate awareness about various measures being taken by the Delhi police for the security of women.  The meeting will be held shortly at Lotus Temple, Kalkaji, New Delhi.

The meeting will focus on various issues including problems generally faced by North-Eastern students and police assistance to be provided, steps to be taken for safety and security of North-Eastern students especially during late hours, problems posed by cab drivers, landlords, property owners etc. and updation of police data regarding residence of North-Eastern students in South-East district of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.

In a letter from Ajay Chaudhary, additional commissioner of police, South East district, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi addressed to the resident commissioner, Manipur Bhavan, New Delhi, it was requested that people from Manipur residing in the area of South-East district might be intimated to get in touch with Meghna Yadav, IPS, addl. DCP-I at Office No. 011-26825824.  Any other suggestion or point for discussion to be included in the agenda might be intimated to the office urgently, it added.
