Speakers echo unity call at KAMA foundation day

IMPHAL August 7: The Kabui Mothers’ Association (KAMA) Manipur observed its 7th foundation day today. A function was held in this connection at the Sangaiprou community hall.

Khumanlei Kamei, magistrate, Kakomlunglu Kamei president KAMA and G. Atutna Kamei women society member graced the foundation day observation as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

The foundation day observation was attended by various guests and invitees, well wishers and media persons from different local dailies of the state.

Representatives of several civil organizations of the state addressed the gathering during the foundation day observation.

The representatives during their speeches reaffirmed the inseparable relationship that binds the indigenous communities living in the state since time immemorial. They also cautioned to guard from external elements targeting to break the fabric of communal harmony in the state. Dilip Yumnamcha while addressing the function accused the central government of deliberate instigations to disintegrate the communal coherence in the state.

H. Iboton Khuman, adviser IPSA, Sunil Karam, vice president NIPCO, Ph. Sakhi Devi president AMKIL, Gaijinlu Maringmei, Lecturer, G.P.Women college, Momonleima, president Chingmi Tammi apunba lup, Dilip Yumnamcha, president UCM, Thambaljao Phaomei vice chairperson IMC and Chandra Haomei, secretary Zeliangrong Union (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) delivered speeches during the function held at Sangaiprou community hall.
