`All communities of Moreh need to exist in harmony`

MOREH September 28: The 22nd raising day of Hmar Youth Association was held at RPC campus, Sunrise ground at Gamnom Veng, Moreh today.

The occasion saw Shesei Zou, ADC chairman of Chandel district as the chief guest, KV Thanga, advisor of HYA was the guest of honor and JN Baite, member of the ADC, Chandel and ex-minister DK Korungthang was the special guest.

At the function, the ADC chairman stated that all communities residing at the Moreh border town needs to exist in harmony. He said that the Hmar community of the town have taken up various development programs which needs to be imitated by other social leaders and post the handing over of the DRDA programs to the district councils, the scope for development of the interior areas of the district can also be expected, he said.

The chief guest also promised to build a community hall for the Hmar community.

Further, he voiced that the Congress party will get the majority in the upcoming 10th Assembly elections and that all need to support the Congress party for unhindered development of the border town.
