IMPHAL, Sept 10: The combined troops of 30 Assam Rifles and 18 SIKH of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (S) launched joint operation in the area of Discovering the movement of UG cadres in general area Touthong Khunou and apprehended one KYKL cadre on yesterday. and the apprehendee was identified as Saangancha,41 s/o Sena, ofTouthong Khunou and was handed over to Lamsang Police Station.a release of PRO IGAR (aouth) said.
In yet another incident, discovering the movements of UG cadres in general area Yangbi of Thoubal district, troops of 27 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) launched operation in the area and recovered warlike stores on yesterday one 12 Bore(single barrel)gun, one 9 mm carbine with magazine, one 9 mm Pistol with magazine, eleven 9mm ball, 16 AK 47 rounds, five 7.62 mm rounds ,two Lathode rounds(destroyed in situ) and forur Chinese hand grenade( destroyed in situ) were recovered, the release added
