ATSUM opposes TET

    IMPHAL, Sept 8: All Tribal Students’ Union, Manipur (ATSUM) expressed strong opposition to the state government policy for conducting Teachers Efficiency Test (TET) examination centre in the Imphal alone.

    According to a release, the ATSUm has drawn the attention of the state government towards holding TET in Imphal amidst the bandh and counter bandh in the state due to Sadar Hills issue, it would be injustice to the people of the state to conduct the examination only in the state capital. And at this juncture if the state government is not considering their suggestion they will take it that the policy of the state government is to deprive the rights of tribal of the state.

    The released further mentioned that, the union has come across the selection of the one Laishram Sunita Devi as a primary teacher under ST category (Sl. No.368, Roll No. 45613) in the recently declared DPC result. This mistake must be immediately rectified and make necessary arrangement for filling up the same by ST candidate, and failure of which the union will be compelled to take its own course of action with its federating units in the nearest future the release added.
