IMPHAL, Sept 11: The Kuki Students’ Organisation, Imphal has appealed to the Kuki Community of Imphal to observe the upcoming “Black Day” (Sahnit Ni) on September 13 in remembrance of the departed souls who lost their lives while protecting their villages and lands in the ethnic clash in early 1990s.
It further appealed the Kuki community to put up black flags on every household to show solidarity and observe the day as day of prayer for peace, harmony, integrity and mutual respect among different communities.
