IMPHAL, Sept 10: As part of its annual project, the Lions Club of Imphal Greater organised a voluntary blood donation camp at Waikhong Police station today. The programme was organised under the State Blood Transfusion counsil (SBTC) in collaboration with Police Station Waikhong, 27-Assam Rifles and Umathel Women Development Service. At least 27 personnel of 27 Assam Rifles, Manipur Police and VDF stationed at Waikhong donated blood.
As part of the camp, a sensitisation programme on voluntary blood donation was also organised at the venue. Lion Dr. Kh Lala Singh of Lions Club of Imphal Greater, Indian Red Cross Society activist Narendra Ningomba, Dr. Rajchandra Singh of Blood Bank, RIMS delivered lecture on the topic.
