Congress will capture not less than 45 seats in coming assembly election: Ranjit

IMPHAL, Sept 25: The office of Thangmeiband Block Youth Congress located at the 2nd floor of Tampha Market was inaugurated today by works minister K Ranjit.

Speaking at the inaugural function, works minister K Ranjit stated that the Congress Party will make a thumping victory in the coming assembly election by capturing not less than 45 seats.

He further asserted that the state government has repeatedly appealed to the agitators to withdraw the economic blockade in view of the sufferings of the common people.

The state government is considering the demand for Sadar Hills district but the decision cannot be taken hastily. A committee on reorganization of district boundaries has been constituted to look into the issue of creation of new districts in the state, he noted.

Ranjit also highlighted the achievements of the SPF government saying it has been able to remove AFSPA from seven assembly segments and handover the Kangla Fort to the people of Manipur. The SPF government has also taken various development projects in the state, he added.

The inaugural function was also attended by health minister L Jayentakumar, MPYC president M Prithiviraj and MPCC secretary Jyotin Waikhom.
