IMPHAL, Sept 24: For the first time in the state, health minister L. Jayentakumar Singh today inaugurated a dispensary for sportspersons at Khuman Lampak in presence of additional director of health L. Surchandra and joint director of YAS L. Promoda.
Speaking at the inaugural function, health minister stated that the sportspersons must stay in good health condition so as to give perform better in various national and international competitions.
The dispensary is to provide better healthcare facilities to the sportspersons of the state, he stated.
Jayentakumar further maintained that the welfare of the state lies in the department of youth affairs and sports which has been working consistently for the development of the youths.
213 primary health centre, 80 primary health subcentres and 46 dispensaries have been opened up by the state government, the health minister asserted.
