TAMENGLONG, September 21: Election fever ran high in Tamenglong Headquarter as three aspirants for the upcoming 10th Assembly Elections organized their supporters for a show of strength today.
Tamenglong town came out to see the parade of vehicles transporting supporters from different villages of the 53 Tamenglong A/C which arrived to show support and attend the functions organized today.
Three candidates namely present MLA of the a/c and also the vice chairman Hill Area Committee, Khangthuanang Panmei, aspiring candidate Janghemlung Panmei and ex-minister Samuel Jendai organized different
programmes at separate venues today.
The MLA organized a worship programme for commencement of his election rally at his own residence at Namlalong Tamenglong ward number 2.
Another similar worship service was also organized by Janghemlung Panmei, a new candidate at Trinity complex.
Ex minister Samuel Jendai also organized a “Supporters Get Together” at his residence at Model village, ward number 3.
All three functions pulled in strong crowds and the supporters were dazzled with renditions from popular artists of the like of Albina Gonson, Sorri Senjam, Bobin,Benny Khongsai, Tharte Zami among others.
Huge buffets were organized to feed the massive crowds which amounted to thousands.
The worship programs were marked with prayers and hymns invoking blessings for each aspiring candidate.
