Naga solution and integration main objective of NPF

TAMENGLONG, September 16: “The main objective of the Naga People’s Front (NPF) is to bring the Nagas under a single administrative umbrella and end the 60 years of Naga struggle and ensure an early Naga solution. To do so the Nagas from Nagaland wants to extend help to the Nagas in Manipur”, stated G. Gaingam, president of NPF Manipur Unit during a public meeting held today at ZM Auditorium, Tamenglong after opening the party’s office at Tamenglong district headquarter.

 

“Let us drag Naga’s problem into another decade, as an integration funds would also be arrange to show single administration”, he said.

Citing the opposition of the Manipur government in launching the Naga People’s Front in Manipur, he call on the Nagas that it was high time to make themselves clear whether to join the opposing side or Naga People Front and end suppression.

Z. Lohe, political advisor to the Chief Minister Nagaland who also attended the public meeting also reiterated the objective of the NPF.

Naga People’s Front is pro NSCN: IM, NSCN: K and NNC, as they are brothers and work for the Nagas. “If you want to untied suppression from Manipur government NPF is here to protect yourself from such suppression”, Z Lohe said.

Taking note of the Rongmei tribe recognition in Nagaland the central NPF team said that the process is under way and NPF assured to work for early recognition. The central team also assured to take up works to improve the Tenning via Tamei road in Nagaland side.

Hundreds of people from all walks of lives has attended the public meeting, however there was no any resolution taken during the meeting.

Timikha Koza, legal advisor to Chief Minister Nagaland, Zaku Tsukru, vice president NPF central, members of Manipur unit, Zeliangrong leaders attended the public meeting.

Meanwhile, on the query of this reporter G. Gaingam, president of NPF Manipur unit said that the candidatures for three constituencies of Tamenglong district for the forthcoming aseembly election is yet to be finalize. The party will put up candidates in all constituencies of Nagas areas in the forth coming Manipur general election. NPF also hopes to put up in other constituencies, Gaingam said.
