IMPHAL, Sept 27: The national convenor of BJP Northeast India Sampark Cell, Sunil Deodhar has slammed the Congress-led SPF government for lawlessness in the state which is akin to the “Jungle Raj”.

The BJP leader was addressing media persons today at the head-office of BJP Manipur Pradesh located at Nityaipat Chuthek, Imphal.

He further stated that the SPF government has no right to continue its governance as the people have suffered a lot under the Congress regime.

Sunil maintained that he has come to the state to take stock of the prevailing issues and submit a detailed report to the President and Prime Minister of India urging them for immediate action.

The convenor also mentioned that the BJP has framed a roadmap for Vision 2025 with special emphasis on the development of northern states. The documentation for Vision Northeast will soon be started in the state which will include law and order, electricity, water, transportation, railways, healthcare, art and culture, communal harmony, agriculture, border security, illegal migration, small and large scale industries etc., he noted.

Sunil also appealed to the general public to give their views and comments on Vision Northeast on the website of the BJP or to the office of BJP at Nityaipat Chuthek. A website on Manipur Vision will also be launched shortly, he added.

BJP is the only party which has been working for the upliftment of the northeastern region. The Sampark Cell is one such frontal organization of BJP which has been fighting against racial discrimination and violence to northeastern people, he asserted.

Sunil also announced that senior BJP leader LK Advani will visit Manipur during the phase of his Rath Yatra.  The BJP would also strive to make Manipur-the sports capital of India and ensure voting rights to the Manipuris who have settled in various major cities of the country for quite a long time, he added.
