IMPHAL, Sept 11: The radio plays broadcast by All India Radio, Imphal are very much related to the living condition of different sections of the society, stated Ningthoujam Lokendrajit, programme executive of AIR, Imphal while releasing a book titled ‘Eikhoi Anigi Anouba Sangshar’ written by Sagolsem Indrakumar today at Manipur Press Club Imphal,.
He further stated that AIR, Imphal with an objective to motivate the degrading social structures of the state, different radio plays produced new writers and actors have been telecasting through AIR Imphal with an objective to promote their abilities and skills towards the moulding social structures of the state.
Lokendrajit also mentioned that, it has became a necessary for the AIR Imphal to maintain the already telecasted dramas through AIR, Imphal, in the forms of books, and in fact the presentation of radio in the form of scripts by Sagolsem Indrakumar will be one of the fortunate for the future generation in the field of literature as well as for the actors of the state.
It is also mentioned that, many of the radio drama which have been broadcast through AIR written by many of the prominent script writers of the state have won outstanding awards in various all India competitions which shows the potentiality of the script writers of the state and their skill and sincerity towards shaping the society.
The formal book release function this afternoon was presided by vice president Patroitic Writers’ Forum, Manipur Raghu Leishangthem and the general secretary of the forum Rajmani Ayekpam talk on the objectives and therein contain of the newly released book today.
In the meantime, the writer of ‘Eikhoi Anigi Anouba Sangshar’ Sagolsem Indrakumar who is also the president of the Patroitic Writers’ Forum, Manipur while given his statement in the function this afternoon mentioned that the information through AIR Imphal had been one of effective instruments to provide information to the entire people of the state since last many year.
In fact, the AIR Imphal despite of providing the upto date information news and information to the people of the state since last many years the people of the state have been entertained by different varieties of entertainments among them the relay of radio dramas reflecting the changing social structures from time to time have been adding effectiveness of radio in delivering the total mass media in the state.
Finally he further draws the attention of the young script writers of modern society to be more attentive to various level of social changes that have occurred in the state so that if his/her scripts are published in the forms of radio drama brings full attentions of the common people of the state towards the objective of moulding degrading sector of social structures he added.
