SDSA condemns Royal Hotel blast

IMPHAL, Sept 20: The Senapati District Students’ Association (SDSA) in the strongest term has condemned the atrocious and unfortunate bomb blast at Royal Hotel, north AOC, Imphal on  September 14, which has killed a person and seriously injured two persons including an innocent young student K.D Poule of Maiba village, Senapati district.

SDSA in its press statement has appealed the state government to extend maximum medical and financial assistance to those injured especially K.D Poule, it has also demanded immediate arrest of the culprit and to deliver justice.

The release further mentioned that, K.D Poule, an innocent student came down to Imphal  September 14, afternoon to appear in the TET examination scheduled on September 16. Unfortunately on the fateful day, after checking in at Royal Hotel north AOC, he was relaxing in the adjacent room on the same floor when the blast took place. With serious head injury, he was admitted at Raj Polyclinic, however till today he has been providing for his own medical expenses. But till date, no assistance has been extended to him by any source or the state government. Such delayed negligence of a blast victim student by the government is questionable and uncalled for, it stated.

The blast has deeply hurt the sentiments of the student’s fraternity, wherein terrorizing the student’s feelings are not justifiable. Moreover, targeting innocent lives in crowded places by any organization or individuals cannot be tolerated in a war torn state like Manipur, the release added.
