State lad selected to play in international championship

IMPHAL, Sept 26: The Thadou Students’ Association (TSA) and Thadou Youth Association (TYA), Sadar Hills, jointly felicited Lalzoulen Lotzem in a grand function organized at Presidency College hall, for his outstanding achievement in the National Level under seventeen Football Championship.

Lalzoulen Lotzem s/o Lalboi Lotzem of Motbung, a student of Apex Christian School Motbung after delivering outstanding performances that led the state to emerge victorious in the 56th and 57th National School under 17 football Championship held at Srinagar and Adaman & Nicobar Island has been selected for representing the nation in International School Championship slated to be held in Brazil and Vietnam.

According to H.Imo, the coach who is leading the state team, said the young striker was a big factor for the state in winning the national championship twice in a row (56th and  57th). Lalzoulen scored a goal in a final match between the state and Karnataka, which became the deciding goal to win the national championship last year at Andaman and Nicobar. This year too the young lad had again delivered his best at Srinagar and won retain the championsip after beating Orrisa 5-4 in tie breaker, further maintained Imo.
