IMPHAL, Sept 25: An official team of the state planning department led by the special secretary state (Planning) department are going to conduct a field visit in Ukhrul district starting tomorrow to inspect progress of works taken up under the Non Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR), Special Plan Assistance (SPA) and Border Area Development Programme (BADP).
According to an official source, the proposed official inspection is a part of the state government’s strategy to check whether the projects are implemented properly or not as advised by the centre.
It is also mentioned that, the official team will start with the inspection of road construction works of Mahadeva-Tolloi under NEC, Installation of 132 KV Sub-Station at Hundung under SPA, construction of hundred bedded district hospital at Hundung under NLCPR, improvement of road from NH-150 Dungrei to Kaziphung via Sacred Heart Higher secondary school and district hospital under SPA.
The source further mentioned that the official team on reaching Ukhrul head quarter will continue with their inspection of the construction of Mini-secretariat building, guest house, construction of Girls Hostel of Ukhrul Higher Secondary School, improvement of Ukhrul town Western Circular road and construction of Academic building for Pettigrew college, under NLCPR/SPA.
Further in the evening, the team will inspect the district sports complex at Ukhrul under NLCPR, composite water supply for Ukhrul district head quarter under NLCPR.
The source also further mentioned that the official team will also inspect the district veterinary hospital, 50 bedded hospital under NLCPR and installation of 2X5 MVA, 33 KV sub-station at Ukhrul Khunjao under NLCPR on September 27 and will continue their inspections of various works taken up under BADP, which will be coordinated by the DC Ukhrul with the identification of the list of works.
In the meantime, the official team after completion of their inspections will attend a meeting of the Ukhrul district level monitoring committee at the Ukhrul DC office complex on September 27 and later return for Imphal, the official source added.
