IMPHAL, Sept 18: The common people of the state are suffering extremely due to the misgovernance of the state government, stated opposition leader Radhabinod Koijam today.

He was speaking as the chief guest in a function held at Thangmeiband Naothingkhong Shanglen in connection with the distribution of pension to aged, widows and PLHAs.

Radhabinod further stated that the demand for Sadar Hills district should be made in a democratic manner rather than making the common people suffer due to agitations like economic blockade on the national highways.

All forms of undemocratic agitations should be stopped by the people to avoid any communal tension in the state. The government should take up effective measures to resolve the crises as soon as possible, he enjoined.

Dwelling on the development aspects in Thangmeiband assembly constituency, opposition leader Radhabinod stated that a cyber-café has been opened up for the students of the constituency to acquire more knowledge from around the world.  A health care facility for aged people will also be opened up in his constituency, he noted.

Radhabinod also demanded that the widow pension scheme should be implemented in the state as soon as possible.

The pensions were distributed to 512 aged people and widows and 18 PLHAs.
