IMPHAL, Sept 8: A team of Imphal West district police commandos apprehended two cadres of under ground RPF/PLA identified as Leitangthem Sanajaoba Meitei, 23, s/o of late L Nitaichand Meitei of Senjam Chirang Mayai Leikai and Thokchom Snajeet Singh, 27, s/o Th Tomba Singh of Senjam Chirang Maning Leikai during search operations at Senjam Chirang Mamang Leikai this early morning around 5.15am.
According to an official source, the police on spot verification the arrested cadres disclosed to the police that, they were working under the command of Thoiba of Uripok and premjit of Thangmeiband respectively since few months. Further it has also been revealed that, they were assigned to serve demand letters to various Pradhans and Tata truck owners and also extortion of huge amount of money for party fund.
