IMPHAL, Sept 12: The United Committee Manipue (UCM) has appealed to the state government to bring an amicable solution on Sadar Hills issues.

A release of UCM stated the demand for the creation of full-fledged Sadar Hills district is quite rightful. However, the imposition of economic blockade for more than one month on the national highways seems to become a factor for the movement of Sadar Hills to go in a wrong way.

It said that the people of the state have been experiencing the menace of economic blockade for the last many years. The failure of the state government to bring an amicable solution to the issues is quite unfortunate.

The release further mentioned that the UCM has held a meeting of all community leaders at MDU to sort out ways and means to resolve the present crisis of the state, but the state government remains deaf to the voices of the people.

It is the prime responsibility of the state government to understand the people belonging to all communities and bring a resolution to Sadar Hills issues. The common people are suffering extremely because of the economic blockade, the release added.
