IMPHAL, Sept 25: A combined team of Imphal West district police commandos and 28 AR personnel have arrested one active member of the UNLF from Lamphel near fishery on September 22 at around 5 pm, informed a statement of the Senior SP Imphal West district.
The arrested individual has been identified as Thongbam Raghu alias Thomas alias Maninganba Singh, 26, s/o Th. Birenkumar of Nambol Khajiri.
It further said that while conducting spot verification he disclosed to be working under one Mijao of KCP (MC) Tamnganba faction since the last one year.
He was assigned to serve demand letters to government employees and extorted huge amount of money for party fund. Five demand letters of KCP (MC) were seized from his possession, it said.
