IMPHAL, September 16: Two unidentified persons allegedly shot a woman identified as Yumnam Radhe, 65, w/o Rosho of Mayang Imphal during the intervening night of September 15 and 16 at around 12:30 am.
According to reliable sources, the unidentified gunmen had called out the victim during the night from her house enquiring whether her husband and son were there, however when she replied in the negative, she was called out and was shot at her left foot by one of the two gunmen.
The source further identified the victim’s family as active worker of Mayang Imphal MLA Ratankumar, however the exact reason behind the assault is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, Radhe was further taken back to her home after a brief treatment at RIMS, in the morning.
