IMPHAL, Oct 22: All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU) has pointed out irregularities in the scholarship scheme for students belonging to minority and other backward classes.
A release of the union stated that the students have been deprived of their rights by the irresponsible officers of MOBC department. The scholarships have been found awarded to students of several unrecognized schools.
The AMSU has also found some schools which have not distributed the scholarship amount to the students. It will further conduct drives to check misuse of students’ money, the release said.
