CM assures to develop Sanamahi Temple

IMPHAL, October 6: Chief Minister Okram Ibobi has assured that the Sanahami Temple located inside 1st Bn Manipur Rifles campus would be developed soon in view of its religious significance to the people of the state.

The Chief Minister was speaking as the chief guest during the ceremonial function for the exchange of gifts between hill and valley people held today at the premises of Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple, Imphal.

Event like Mera Chaoren Houba is very significant in a secular state as it imparts a sense of brotherhood amongst the people. “We are all brothers and sisters living together in a secular nation”, asserted Chief Minister.

He also appealed to the people to shun violence and promote peace and harmony in the state.

The function was also attended by IFCD and CAF & PD minister N Biren and health minister L Jayentakumar who is also the president of Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board.

Various cultural items including traditional martial arts were displayed during the function.
