IMPHAL, Oct 21: A combined team of Imphal East district police commandos and 28 AR reportedly arrested a cadre of the proscribed KCP MC militant on October 18 near NRL oil pump, Khurai Thangjam Leikai along with weapons.
A statement issued by the office of the Imphal East district police, the combined team arrested the individual around 2:30 pm.
He has been identified as one Yaithengbam Inao alias Yaiphaba, 38, s/o Y. Yaima of Khurai Thangjam Leikai.
The team also recovered a 9 mm pistol mar as (auto pistol 9 rounds only made in USA) loaded with two live ammunitions in the magazine and a Chinese made hand grenade from him, it said.
It further informed that on conducted verification, he disclosed to have joined the militant group in the month of September 2011 through one Rajkumar alias Alex and he has also been earlier arrested as a PLA cadre and released on bail. He is now working under the command Rajmukar and has involved in various extortion activities from general public, government officials, businessmen etc.
